FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

HomeFAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

Here are frequently asked questions for your reference.
We hope this will help making your cruise plan.

How can I make reservations?

Just like making a reservation at a restaurant, please call and tell us the date and the number of people you wish to make a reservation for. Please feel free to ask any questions, too.

Are there any options for small size groups?

There are “noriai” shared boats where different groups can ride together starting from a single passenger. You can make reservations up to the day of the cruise upon availability. The boat departs twice a day for lunch and dinner every day during the cherry blossom season, once a day for dinner in the summer season, and all weekend dinners for other seasons (Boats will be out of service on days with inclement weather, days when fireworks are held in the area, year end and new year’s as well as special holidays). You cannot choose the type of Yakatabune for this plan.

What time do boats depart?

For chartered boats, you can choose a departure time of your choice between 11:00am and 7:00pm (some exceptions apply). Shared boats depart at 6:40pm on weekdays and 5:30pm on Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays (lunch cruises for the cherry blossom season depart at 10:50am).

How long are the cruises?

Shared boat cruises area approximately 2 hours, chartered boat cruises are approximately 2.5 hours. Duration for chartered boat cruises can be altered between 1.5 hours and 3 hours by adjusting the anchoring time in the waters.

When are your holidays?

There are no Yakatabune service at the year end and new years and no fishing boat service on Tuesdays. Sorry, we may have temporary closures.

Where do we board and disembark?

Fujimi boats depart from the private dock in front of our boathouse. You can wait in the boathouse waiting area until your departure time. For charters, you can also choose to board from one of the following docks. Sakura Bridge disaster prevention dock, Niten-mon Gate dock, Azuma Bridge dock, Ryogoku Bridge dock, Ecchujima disaster prevention dock, Asashio Canal dock, Akashicho disaster prevention dock, Takeshiba Pier, Hinode Pier, Odaiba dock, Ariake dock (Tokyo Big Sight), Aomi dock (Tokyo International Cruise Terminal), Nihonbashi dock (small boats only).

We have a large number of elderlies and foreigners. Can we have table and chair seating?

Yes, we have Yakatabunes with tables and chairs in Japanese tatami mat rooms. Please let us know of your preference when you make a reservation. (Not available for shared cruises)
